Seared Pork Chops with Strawberry Basil Pan Sauce
Lorie KolesaShare
These Seared Pork Chops with Strawberry Basil Pan Sauce bring gourmet flair to the dinner table with minimal effort. A quick pan-sear locks in flavor, while a reduction of Strawberry Balsamic, fresh basil, and juicy strawberries creates a rich and vibrant sauce. This main course is ideal for spring entertaining or weeknight meals that feel like a treat.
📝 Ingredients:
-
2 thick-cut boneless pork chops
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 tbsp Basil Infused Olive Oil
-
2/3 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
-
1/4 cup Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard
-
1 tbsp honey
-
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil
-
Optional garnish: whole basil leaves or additional chopped strawberries
🔥 Instructions:
-
Sear the pork: Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat Basil Olive Oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
-
Make the sauce: In the same pan, add chopped strawberries, Strawberry Balsamic, mustard, and honey. Stir and simmer for 3–5 minutes, until strawberries break down and the sauce thickens.
-
Finish with basil: Stir in chopped fresh basil and return the pork chops to the pan. Spoon sauce over chops to coat.
-
Serve: Plate pork chops with sauce spooned over and garnish with basil and optional fresh strawberry slices.
💡 Tips:
-
Bone-in pork chops work just as well but may take slightly longer to cook.
-
For extra richness, stir in a pat of butter at the end.
