Autumn Spiced Apple Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 oz apple-infused vodka (or regular vodka)
- 1 oz fresh apple cider
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters (or orange bitters for a brighter note)
- 1 small piece of Spicewalla Anise
- Blue Henry dried apple slice (for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Infuse the vodka (optional): If you're using regular vodka, you can infuse it by adding sliced apples to the vodka for 24 hours to give it a stronger apple flavor.
-
Prepare the martini: In a shaker, combine the apple-infused vodka (or regular vodka), apple cider, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters.
-
Add the spice: Lightly crush the Spicewalla Anise to release its aroma and flavor, and add it to the shaker. Shake vigorously with ice.
-
Strain and serve: Double strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass to remove any bits of the anise or ice.
-
Garnish: Float a Blue Henry dried apple slice on top of the martini. For added depth, you can also light a piece of anise briefly to release its aroma before dropping it into the drink.
Optional: For an extra cozy touch, rim the glass with a mix of cinnamon and sugar before pouring.
