Autumn Spiced Apple Martini

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz apple-infused vodka (or regular vodka)
  • 1 oz fresh apple cider
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 dash of Angostura bitters (or orange bitters for a brighter note)
  • 1 small piece of Spicewalla Anise
  • Blue Henry dried apple slice (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Infuse the vodka (optional): If you're using regular vodka, you can infuse it by adding sliced apples to the vodka for 24 hours to give it a stronger apple flavor.

  2. Prepare the martini: In a shaker, combine the apple-infused vodka (or regular vodka), apple cider, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters.

  3. Add the spice: Lightly crush the Spicewalla Anise to release its aroma and flavor, and add it to the shaker. Shake vigorously with ice.

  4. Strain and serve: Double strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass to remove any bits of the anise or ice.

  5. Garnish: Float a Blue Henry dried apple slice on top of the martini. For added depth, you can also light a piece of anise briefly to release its aroma before dropping it into the drink.

Optional: For an extra cozy touch, rim the glass with a mix of cinnamon and sugar before pouring.
